طالب الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، برفع سعر توريد طن القصب من 700 جنيه إلى 720 جنيهًا.
وقال السيسي - خلال افتتاحه عددًا من المشروعات التنموية بمحافظة بني سويف، "إحنا موجودين هنا علشان أهل الصعيد، وعاوزين نقولهم كل سنة وإنتوا طيبين ونزود لهم سعر توريد قصب السكر، ونطلب موافقة وزير المالية على رفع السعر إلى 720 جنيها".

كان من الأفضل استخدام مصطلح "أهل الصعيد" بدلا من "الصعايدة"، نظرا لتدني المصطلح لغويا، ولإيحاءه السيئ في ذهن القارئ وارتباطه بالسخرية ورسم صورة نمطية معينة
