أكد الأنبا أبانوب، أسقف المقطم، أن التطرف ليس من طابع مصر، ولكنه دخيل على المصريين، وجاء لهم من الخارج، موضحًا أن الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، اختاره الله ليقود الشعب المصري إلى الطريق الصحيح، حيث إن المصريين طوال آلاف السنين يعيشون في محبة وسلام.
وأضاف أبانوب، في تصريحات لفضائية "أون لايف"، اليوم الأحد، أن الرئيس السيسي، من خلال حضوره قداس عيد الميلاد المجيد، يبين للعالم أن المصريين يعيشون مع بعضهم البعض، لا فرق بين مسلم ومسيحي.
