لم ينتهِ المشهد مُقدمًا رسالة سامية للجماهير، للحث بهجر العادات الخاطئة، بل أدخل نوعًا جديدًا من العنف على المجتمع، ليُصبح بطل تلك المشاهد الدموية «أسطورة» في عيون الشباب.. ومنها، تتحول تلك المشاهد إلى جرائم واقعية، نُسخت تفاصيلها بطريقة كربونية من «أسطورة العُنف».
«دراكولا»، هذه الشخصية الدموية في رواية برام ستوكر، التي صدرت في عام 1897، بدت بعض الأعمال الدرامية قريبة من مخاطرها فحذر منها رجال أمن، وأطباء نفسيين، مؤكدين أنها تُعد متهمًا في جرائم يشهدها المجتمع.
