قرّرت نيابة أمن الدولة العليا بإشراف المستشار خالد ضياء الدين، المحامي العام الأول، حبس وليد خليل 15 يومًا على ذمة التحقيقات، لاتهامه بنشر أخبار كاذبة، بحسب تصريحات خاصة لمحامي المتهم مختار منير. وحقّقت النيابة مع المتهم على ذمة القضية 441 لسنة 2018 ووجهت له اتهامات نشر أخبار كاذبة والانضمام لجماعة محظورة.
