في حين أن العنوان لجأ لكلمة "جرائم"، إلا أن المتن والتناول كان متساهلا مع عملية الختان بتلك الطريقة، وإبراز مظاهر فرحة الأهالي بها، وعدم استخدام مصدر لمواجهة تلك الظاهرة وتجريمها أيضا ذكر تصريح السيدة بــ"خوفها من تحرير محضر لمن قام بختان (طفلة صغيرة) وتضررت جراء تلك العملية، خوفا من مسائلة الجدة وأم الطفلة الصغيرة، وآثروا الصمت والتكتم، رغم الشعور بالذنب والتقصير.
